Student Exchange Program (SEP)

The SEP program sponsors/cordinates Yoruba students attending Nigerian Colleges/Universities to come to a partnering institution in the US for one semester.
SEP fits into our initiatives for helping Yoruba Youths who will find their exchanges culturally enriching, academically rewarding, and one of the most significant experiences of their undergraduate education.

Team Tenabe organizes its own programs by reaching out to notable schools in Yorubaland. The program include placements and the attendant accommodations, activities and student services We offer Yoruba students the opportunity to participate in academic, career and exchange programs in the US through which study or personal goals may be achieved.

Our placements are broadly categorized into two groups:

Direct and Open Placements:

Our team members work with students to personalize the placement process providing peripheral support and assistance during the placement. The process is demand-driven, allowing students’ greater flexibility, input and customization in the placement-planning process and overall travel experience.

Program Placements:

Our team members work with students to find US institutions that offer student exchange programs and then help the students in the selection process. We provide peripheral support and assistance during the application and placement process. The process is competitive and students musthave a high grade point average (GPA) in order to qualify.

Spending an a Semester as an exchange student in the US means living with a host family and attending school for 4 to 6 months. In order to qualify for the exchange program, students must be at least 18 years of age. Students must also meet any additional requirements specific to the program to which they are applying, for example a student may be required to have studied and passed the Test of English as A Foreign Language (TOEFL). Additionally, Students should also possess good written and oral communication skills.
